Talks for healthcare
conferences.
Hope. Conversation. A sense of control.
My talks for medical congresses, symposia and patient organisations explore illness from a patient's perspective. I speak about trust in promises of treatment, empathetic conversations between doctors and patients, and regaining a sense of control after change. Three distinct topics allow you to choose a talk that fits your programme and audience.

Who did I trust? Hear my story of hope, fear and decisions from a patient's perspective.
During my cancer illness, I also sought help outside conventional medicine. That search took me to an Ayurvedic hospital in India. I found the help that saved me with well-trained doctors practising conventional medicine.
I explain why I trusted those promises, what helped me listen to my doctors and how I returned to an active life. Each of the three talks covers a different part of that journey.
Today, my voice is stronger than before the illness that was supposed to take it away.
