A TALK ON INFLUENCE AND ENGAGEMENT AT WORK
This wasn't the plan.
How to regain a sense of control when the rules, roles and working conditions change.

A new manager. A different role. A reorganisation. Rules you did not set but now have to work by. The company announces a change. You try to find your place in it.
You can understand the reasons for change and still feel anger, fear or disappointment. Especially when the new conditions undermine your sense of security or the value of your experience. This talk looks at what happens to a person affected by change.
I draw on management, consulting and training experience. I discuss questions that help us settle into a new role, accept support and allow ourselves to learn again. We look for steps we can take even when the decision to change is beyond our control.
Accepting a situation does not mean agreeing to every expectation. We can name our concerns, ask questions, set boundaries and seek support. We distinguish between what we cannot decide alone and what is still ours to decide.
